- Abstract
Formulae are developed for the construction of straight line diagrams, called Operation Charts, for rapid determination of the voltage difference (in magnitude and phase) between the ends of a simple alternating current circuit, for a variety of loads.
The formulae are developed from Circle Diagram formulae for long transmission lines.
The charts may be used on short lines without correction, and their use may be extended to longer lines (within the limits of accuracy imposed by the data available) by means of the various correction formulae developed.
