Summary

The Clive Lord Memorial Medal was established in 1930 by the Royal Society of Tasmania, with the first award being made in 1936. It is awarded on an occasional basis to a distinguished scholar for research in Tasmanian science or history, with the award being made alternately in these fields. The Medal commemorates Clive Lord, an eminent Tasmanian zoologist who was Secretary of the Royal Society of Tasmania from 1918 to 1933. The recipient is invited to give a lecture to the Society.
