Summary

Peter Hall was Professor of Statistics at the Centre for Mathematics and its Applications at the Mathematical Sciences Institute, Australian National University in Canberra. His main area of research was in theoretical and applied statistics and probability theory. Hall authored well over 300 journal articles, received many awards for his efforts, was elected Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science (FAA) and the Royal Society (FRS), and served on many editorial boards for top statistical journals.
