Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering, University of California Berkeley 1966-68; Senior Design Engineer, AWA Microelectronics 1968-78, Group Manager 1978-82; Director, Joint Microelectronics Research Centre, University of New South Wales and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology 1982-90; Head, School of Electrical Engineering, University of New South Wales from 1991. Fellow, Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering 1979; President, Institution of Radio & Electronic Engineers Australia 1986-87, 1990-91.
