Summary
Edward John McBrien learnt his profession as an analytical chemist with the well-known consulting firm of Dunn, Son and Stone, joining the Victorian Health Department in 1937 and remaining there until his retirement. He also worked for a short time as a private consultant and lectured in food analysis, Melbourne Technical College for many years.
