c. 1919 - c. 1926: Career position - Assistant in the Laboratory of the Metropolitan Gas Company (later the Gas and Fuel Corporation of Victoria)
1927 - 1952?: Career position - Assistant to R.S. Andrews (Chief Chemist)
1953 - 1961: Career position - Information Officer
