Johnson Space Centre, N.A.S.A., Houston, Texas 1969-74; Geologist, U.S. Geological Survey, Washington 1974-78; director, Earth Sciences Division, U.S. National Science Foundation 1979- . N.A.S.A. Medal for Exceptional Scientific Achievement 1973. President, Meteoritical Society 1973-74.
