Peter Robin Brett was Director of the Earth Sciences Division, US National Science Foundation from 1979. Earlier he worked with the US Geological Survey 1974-78 and was Chief of the Geochemistry Branch of the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Centre, NASA, Texas 1969-74.
Born 30 January 1935. AM. Educated University of Adelaide (BSc) and Harvard University (PhD). Post-doctoral fellow, Geophysical Laboratory, Carnegie Institute of Washington 1963-64; Geologist, U.S. Geological Survey, Washington 1964-69; Chief of Geochemistry Branch, Lyndon B.
