Summary
Harold Downing entered professional life as a science teacher. Within two years of graduating he moved to AWA Ltd. (Amalgamated Wireless Australasia) to take up a post as an engineer. Downing remained at AWA Ltd. Until he retired in 1978 after almost forty-two years of service.
