Biographical entry Wickham, John Clements (1798 - 1864)

Summary

John Clements Wickham was Captain of the "Beagle" and conducted maritime surveys and scientific surveys around the Australian coast 1837-41. He was the first Government Resident at Morton Bay where he was police magistrate from 1843.
