Summary

Patrick Moran was Professor of Statistics at the Institute of Advanced Studies, Australian National University 1952-1983. He was the son of Herbert Moran. The Moran Medal and the Moran Award for History of Science Research, both awarded by the Australian Academy of Science, are named in his honour.
