It is the oldest academic geography journal published in Australia. With the aim of influencing academic and public debate on matters of societal and environmental consequence, the journal publishes material aimed at a wide-ranging readership across academic, educational, policy and general interest communities. Included are peer-reviewed papers on geographical and environmental research, particularly the biophysical environment and human interactions with it, as well as biographical material and book reviews.
