<abstract>The Australasian Sleep Association (ASA) is the peak scientific body in Australia and New Zealand representing clinicians, scientists and researchers working in sleep health and sleep medicine. It provides education and training to members and the broader health community; fosters scientific research; and establishes best-practice clinical guidelines. Aims include advocacy of the essential nature of sleep to good health, alongside a healthy diet and exercise.</abstract>
<p>Awards presented by the Association Include:<br />
President's Award: recognises individuals or groups who have made a significant and sustained contribution to the work of the Association in achieving its aims and objectives;<br />
Distinguished Achievement Award: recognises honours exceptional achievements in the fields of sleep health and sleep science by an Association member.</p>
