It recognises the best contribution to knowledge in any branch of internal medicine (adult medicine and paediatrics). Recipients, who must be a Fellow of the College, will have demonstrated an outstanding and lasting impact in the field of internal medicine in the areas of research, teaching and/or clinical medicine. They receive a monetary prize and are invited to present their research at a College event. The Prize was created following a bequest from Susman, a foundation Fellow of the College.
