Margaret Wilson (née Menadue ) is a natural history artist whose illustrations have been published in a number of key works on the Western Australian flora. Many of her illustrations were produced under her maiden name. She began her career in the USA where, after attending a short course in scientific illustration at Cornell University, she spent the period 1966 to 1970 producing drawings of taxonomic characters for <span style="font-style:italic">The moths of America, north of Mexico</span>. She then moved to Berlin where she painted tropical fish for the Institut für Meereskunde t the University in Kiel. From the late 1970s she was engaged in illustrating books such as <span style="font-style:italic">Mangroves of Western Australia</span> (1978) and <span style="font-style:italic">Flora of the Perth region</span> (1987). Many of the later publications of her husband Paul included illustrations by Margaret: the pair married in 1990. Wilson's original artwork is mainly in the Library of the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions, Perth.
