The 'Australian Journal of Structural Engineering' [ISSN: 1328-7982] is the peer-reviewed technical journal of the Structural College of Engineers Australia, and has been published by various commercial publishers since 1998. It focuses on the exchange and interaction of scientific and professional issues and technical developments, and is open to members and non-members of Engineers Australia. It includes papers on research and development (Technical Papers) and professional matters and achievements (Professional Papers) in all areas relevant to the science, art and practice of structural engineering. It is usually published four times a year.
Prior to the commencement of this journal, structural engineering papers were published in the 'Civil Engineering Transactions' [ISSN: 0020-3297] (1959-1979) and its later titles 'Transactions of the Institution of Engineers, Australia. Civil Engineering' [ISSN: 0159-2068] (1979-1995), and 'Australian Civil/Structural Engineering Transactions' [ISSN: 1440-351X] (1996-1997).
The Journal was published by Engineers Media for Engineers Australia, Volume 1, 1998 - Volume 16, Issue 2, 2015, and online through "Informit" 2002 - 2015. From Volume 16, Issue 3, 2015 the Journal has been published by "Taylor and Francis" and they host the series online 2002 - current.
