For many years he was partner in a private diagnostic radiology clinic, ultimately becoming senior partner. He was also associated in an honorary capacity with a number of Melbourne hospitals, including as Honorary radiologist and Lecturer at the clinical school at the Royal Melbourne Hospital from 1947 to 1963. Crisp had a long association with the College of Radiologists of Australasia (and its successors), being President from 1962 to 1963, and receiving the Gold Medal in 1982.
