As with its predecessors, the Trust was founded to help Australian secondary students realise their potential in problem solving through mathematics and algorithmics, in parallel with the school curriculum. The Trust continues the Olympiad through the Australian Mathematical Olympiad Committee (AMOC). It also runs the Australian Mathematics Competition (founded 1976), now a 30-problem, online competition. The B. H.
