The 'Australian Journal of Mechanical Engineering' [ISSN: 1448-4846] is the peer-reviewed technical journal of the Mechanical College of Engineers Australia, and has been published by various commercial publishers since 2003. It focuses on the science and practice of mechanical and mechatronic engineering in Australasia, and aims to publish highly applied research and innovation that has the potential to be widely disseminated, taking into consideration the potential economic and social impacts that it could generate. It is usually published five times a year. It supersedes the 'Transactions of Mechanical Engineering' [ISSN: 1446-2672].
The Journal was published by Engineers Media for Engineers Australia, Volume 1, 2003 - Volume 12, 2014, and online through "Informit" 2003 - 2015. From Volume 13, Issue 1 (2015) the Journal has been published by "Taylor and Francis" and they host the full series online 2003 - current.
