<abstract>Pip Hamilton is an astrophysicist who specialised in low-frequency radioastronomy to study interstellar gas, particularly in relation to pulsars. He had significant involvement in designing radio telescopes at the University of Tasmania and control systems for telescopes including that at Parkes. He has been Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research) at the University of Tasmania and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) at Deakin University.</abstract>
