<abstract>Kate Jolliffe is an organic chemist whose research focuses on the design of complex molecular structures. She has worked the development of antifungal drugs, molecular self-assembly, rigidified cyclic peptides as supramolecular scaffolds, and the synthesis of natural and novel cyclic peptides. Jolliffe has been Professor of Chemistry at the University of Sydney since 2009.</abstract>
<p>"Kate Joliffe is a leader in the fields of supramolecular and organic chemistry and has made world-leading contributions to organic synthesis, anion recognition and molecular self-assembly. Her international reputation is a result of her expertise in the design and synthesis of comples molecular architectures, which she uses to generate new molecular structures. Joliffe's transformative achievements include the development of selctive receptors for pyrophosphate and sulfate ions; and the development of new methods that enable the synthesis of macrocyclic peptides.
