"The Royal Societies of Australia (RSA) was incorporated as a company limited by guarantee on 3rd August 2007, its aim being to assist each of the Royal Societies in Australia through organised communication, collaboration and advocacy. The RSA offers a national approach to intellectual discourse in Australia through the promotion of the efforts of Australia's Royal Societies. It provides a valuable framework for co-ordinating educational and research-related activities and the discussion of vital policy issues and initiatives affecting the community at large. It provides a consultative voice on national cross-discipline policy/debate and strengthens public recognition of the importance of education, outreach and communication activities across a range of disciplines, with a focus on science, arts, literature and philosophy."
