Frank Morgan was one of Australia's earliest neurosurgeons. After specialist training in the United Kingdom he returned to Australia and for over 40 years was neurosurgeon at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne. He published on treatments for cerebrospinal rhinorrhoea, hypertension as a symptom of intracranial tumour, common causes of lower back pain and the removal of the medial epicondyle for traumatic ulnar neuritis. In 1940 Morgan was a founding member of the Society of Australasian Neurological Surgeons.
<p>His son, also Frank Morgan, was the second director of the St Vincent's Institute of Medical Research 1973-1988.</p>
