<abstract>Bryan Fry is known for his work on venomous animals (particularly snakes) and their venoms and evolution, and ways to use animal poisons in medicine. From 2003 to 2006 he was Deputy Director of the Australian Venom Research Unit at the University of Melbourne. He then became Associate Professor at the School of Biological Sciences, University of Queensland, leading the venomics laboratory.</abstract>
