<abstract>Harry Foxall, BE HonFIS AMIEAust, was a consulting engineer and a prominent member of the surveying profession. He was the editor of <span style="font-style:italic">"The Australian Surveyor"</span>, contributing many articles, and wrote the book <span style="font-style:italic">"Handbook for practising land and engineering surveyors"</span> (1957. 2nd ed, 1970).</abstract>
