Glen Kile made a significant contribution to forest science in Australia in the period 1975-2010 through original research in forest pathology in native forests and in leadership and management of forest industries research and development. He authored over 100 scientific publications, and was co-editor of three books including the first comprehensive publication on the diseases of eucalypts. He has supervised postgraduate students, mentored young scientists and served as the editor of several scientific journals.
