Together with Murray Fagg, he published a landmark series of books on the horticulture and general botany of the Australian flora. John Wrigley was appointed Member of the Order of Australia in 1983 for services to horticulture. Over 4,400 of Wrigley's specimens are in Australian herbaria. 1950 1960 Career event - Established the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden. 1967 1981 Career position - Curator of the Canberra Botanic Gardens (later Australian National Botanic Gardens) 1970 Career event - Landscaped the Australian Pavilion at Expo'70 in Japan. 1983 Award - Member of the Order of Australia (AM) - for services to horticulture Society for Growing Australian Plants (SGAP) (1957 - 1962)
