<abstract>Hugh Thomas Moffit Angwin, CMG BE MIEAust, was Engineer-in-chief of the Engineering and Water Supply Department of South Australia from 1935 to 1949.

During this time he designed and oversaw the construction of vital infrastructure including above-ground water pipelines, sewage treatment facilities, reservoirs, barrages, dams, irrigation drainage plans and floodwater schemes.</abstract>
