Colin Warden Anderson was a general practitioner and surgeon.

During World War II he served in the Australian Army Medical Corps and after the war was appointed Deputy-director of rehabilitation in the Commonwealth Department of Social Services, with a three year secondment to Department of Post-war Reconstruction. He developed many initiatives to support returned serviceman.

His belief in the importance of post-graduate education for general practitioners led him to have a large part in establishing the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
