<abstract>Margaret Flockton was a renowned botanical illustrator who worked at the National Herbarium within the Sydney Botanic Gardens for 27 years.</abstract>
<p>She illustrated several books written by J.H. Maiden, then director of the Sydney Botanic Gardens, including <span style="font-style:italic">Forest Flora of New South Wales </span> and <span style="font-style:italic">Critical Revision of the Genus Eucalyptus</span>. At the time she was Australia's leading, if not only, female lithographer. The Botanic Gardens Trust Archive owns over 1000 of her illustrations.</p>
