The Morris D Owen Radiology Historical Collection, now called the Trainor/Owen Collection, within the Trust's archive was named in his honour. Morris painstaking worked on the collections since April 1967 and built them up to the superb records they are today of the history of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists of which he was a Fellow. In 1993 he was awarded the College's Gold Medal for his more than 30 years service to the Archives.
