 English AACR2 Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules Person created 2006-02-08 human Annette Alafaci updated 2023-11-15 human https://www.eoas.info/biogs/P004671b.htm person Lamberton John Andrew AACR2 John Andrew Lamberton joined the CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation) Organic Chemistry Section in 1951 and become known as an outstanding natural products chemist. His initial project at CSIRO was on plant waxes, anacardiaceous exudates and isoflavones. In 1965 Lamberton assumed responsibility for the alkaloid program that evolved from a survey of New Guinea flora. He remained at CSIRO until 1986. During his PhD Lamberton worked on the alkaloids from Acronychia baueri and Medicosma cunninghammii.
