She was also a Senate representative on the Board of Directors of the Sydney University Women's Union, Vice-President of the Sydney University Science Society, Secretary to the Sex Education Committee of the National Council of Women of New South Wales and member of the Linnean and the Royal Societies of New South Wales.</abstract>
