<abstract>Judith Robers was instrumental in setting up SA Breast X-ray Service in 1989, later BreastScreen SA. She was chair of the Cancer Council SA from 1996-2003, President of Cancer Council Australia 2004-2007 and Vice President 2001-2004. She trained as a nurse after schooling at Seymour College, Adelaide. She was originally awarded an AM but this was upgraded to AO in June 2003.</abstract>
