In 1960 with her husband Michael Kailis, she co-founded the MG Kailis Group of companies in Western Australia. Following his death in 1999, Patricia became the Governing Director of the MG Kailis Group. The couple are recognised as pioneers of the modern Western Australian lobster, pearl oyster and prawn fishing industries.
