<abstract>Jennifer Alexander worked at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney for around 14 years, firstly as a clinician then as Deputy Director and later Director of Medical Services (1984-1989). This was the start a very successful career in medical administration. In 1989 Alexander was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sydney's Westmead Hospital and Community Health Services. She is currently CEO of the Australian and New Zealand Health Management Network.</abstract>
<p>Jennifer Alexander has been a member and president of many boards and committees, she has a long list of publications and a very impressive educational record; Bachelor of Medicine (MB), Bachelor of Surgery (BS), Master s in Health Planning, Masters of Commerce (Mcom). Her achievements have been recognized widely with fellowship appointments to the Royal Australian College of Medical Administrators (FRACMA), the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine (FAFPHM), Australian College of Health Service Executives (FCHSE) and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD).</p>
