Her research interests included biophysics and pharmacology of muscle, especially visceral muscles including those of the gastro-intestinal and urino-genital tracts and of blood vessels; and sensory input to the central nervous system, studying the way in which the central nervous system deals with sensory input, especially that from the skin.
