During his career he was responsible for the construction of the Upper Yarra Dam, the Cardinia, Sugarloaf, and Greenvale Reservoirs and the Upper Thompson Dam. He was also responsible for the construction of the South-Eastern Purification Plant at Carrum, and the associated bored-tunnel Kew to Carrum trunk sewer and ocean outfall.
