Her work has focused on the factors which control or influence the rate of reproductive development in common agricultural crops. Her goal, along with others in the field, was to produce a greater range of consumable crops for people and animals. This research resulted in the production of several publications including her 1974 book "Flowering, Time, Climate and Genotype".
