In 1973 he introduced the use of obstetric ultrasound to Adelaide. For extended periods Verco was visiting radiologist to three Adelaide hospitals: the Adelaide Children's Hospital, the Royal Adelaide Hospital, and the Queen Victoria Hospital, of which he was also deputy president of the board of management.
