He authored the Bureau of Meteorology publication The Wonders of the Weather, 1995.

Born 31 October 1930. Educated BSc, University of Melbourne 1950. Joined the Bureau of Meteorology in 1951, working as a climatologist, weather analyst and weather forecaster. One of the first TV weather meteorologists, 1958-1962, on Channels 2 and 7. Spent three years at Woomera providing forecasts and consultancy services for the rocket range, 1965-1967. Spent 1968-1976 in various management positions in the Bureau's Head Office in Melbourne, and was appointed Regional Director, Victoria in 1976. Member, secretariat for the Committee of Inquiry into the Bureau of Meteorology in 1976. Assistant Director, Services, 1979-1983, and Deputy Director (Services), 1983-1988. Retired in 1988. Chairman, Royal Meteorological Society (Australian Branch), 1985-1986.
