Medical studies, England; medical practitioner, Broken Hill (with his father, W.D.K. MacGillivray, q.v.) to 1939; medical practitioner, Murwillumbah 1939-51; major, Australian Army Medical Corps during World War II. Collecting expedition in North Queensland 1913, with his father, J.A. Kershaw and W. McLennan (q.v.). Keen ornithologist, who wrote a number of articles and paragraphs on various phases of bird-life.
