Born Nanango, Queensland, 12 July 1896. Died 5 January 1978. OBE 1975. Educated Sydney Technical College, University of Melbourne (BSc) and North-western University, Chicago. Junior, customs agent's office, shift chemist, Lithgow Steel works, teacher at a small private school, AIF Artillery 1914-18, University of Melbourne 1919-21, analytical and consulting chemical business ca 1922-31, chemical adviser to the RAAF (Squadron Leader) 1942-45, grazing property, Lara, ca 1946-58, sold property to the government as a research station and returned to the city, consultant in disputed documents.
