Friedrich Ziesemer and his brother Theodor were the first successful wheat growers in the Pittsworth district. They then went on to develop a model dairy-farm at Yandilla. One reason for their success was their investment in mechanised farming.
<p>Born 8 August 1897. Died 3 October 1972. Cane cutter, drover and horse-breaker, bought property at Bongeen near Pittsworth 1921 with his brother Theodor (q.v.), grew wheat successfully, introduced mechanisation, including Sunshine auto-headers, bought Tosari, a dairy-farm at Yandilla late 1920s, used the first electric milking machines in the district, dissolved the partnership with his brother late 1940s to help establish his sons on the land, bought Khamoo in the Condamine district, sold it 1963 and later bought a Taroom cattle property with a son.</p>
