Science teacher, Barker College 1905-1910, senior master ca 1910-17, acting headmaster 1917, founded Headfort College 1918-28, senior science master, The King's School 1928-29, doctoral studies on vertebrate palaeontology, Clare College, Cambridge 1930-31, teacher, Challows School, Devon and Sutton Vallance School, Kent 1932-35, headmaster, Broughton School for boys, Newcastle 1938-40, The King's School 1941-49. Published 6 papers on Triassic and Jurassic fishes in the "Journal and Proceedings of the Royal Society of New South Wales" 1930-53.
