<abstract>Robert Wade taught science at several private schools in Sydney and was Headmaster of Headfort College, Killara, which he founded, from 1918-1928 and of Broughton School for Boys, Newcastle from 1938-1940. He collected and described fossil fish and brought Australian Mesozoic fishes into relationship with one another.</abstract>
<p>Born 8 October 1884. Died 23 September 1967. Educated Universities of Sydney (BA 1905, MA 1924) and Cambridge (PhD 1931). Science teacher, Barker College 1905-1910, senior master ca 1910-17, acting headmaster 1917, founded Headfort College 1918-28, senior science master, The King's School 1928-29, doctoral studies on vertebrate palaeontology, Clare College, Cambridge 1930-31, teacher, Challows School, Devon and Sutton Vallance School, Kent 1932-35, headmaster, Broughton School for boys, Newcastle 1938-40, The King's School 1941-49. Published 6 papers on Triassic and Jurassic fishes in the "Journal and Proceedings of the Royal Society of New South Wales" 1930-53.</p>
