Assistant Lecturer, Working Men's College (now Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) 1900-04, postgraduate work in Germany 1905-06, Assistant Lecturer, Working Men's College 1907-12 (head of the Chemistry Department during the latter part of this period), research scholar, University of Melbourne 1912-13, lecturer in chemistry 1913-14, private practice 1915-39, chemical adviser, Division of Industrial Development, Department of Post-war Reconstruction 1939-? Tutor in chemistry, Ormond college, University of Melbourne 1913-35 and for short periods at Trinity and Queen's colleges. Foundation member, Society of Chemical Industry of Victoria, President, Victorian Branch, Australian Chemical Institute 1925-26.
