Albert F. Sperry Medal Award, Instrument Society of America 1965, Fellow, Australian Academy of Science 1977, Centennial Medal, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering 1984. The Douglas Lampard Electrical Engineering Research Prize and Medal honours his commitment to the Department of Electrical Engineering.
