Resident, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital; demonstrator in pathology, University of Sydney and Militia senior medical officer, Bathurst camp; Captain and later Major, Australian Army Medical Corps 1916-19; Pathology Department, University of Sydney from 1920; honorary pathologist, Sydney Hospital 1922-26, director of pathology from 1926; established Kanematsu Memorial Institute of Pathology 1933, part-time director 1933-36; professor of pathology, University of Sydney 1936-52; responsible for service pathology, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital during World War II. Founding member, Royal Australasian College of Physicians 1938; a director of Sydney Hospital 1946-60.
