Ann Henderson-Sellers is an earth systems scientist widely respected for her research into the description and prediction of the influence of land cover and land-use change on climate and human systems. She has made significant contributions to the study of climate change through her participation in policy and assessment organisations, including the World Meteorological organisation and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Between 1996 and 1998 Henderson-Sellers was Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Development) at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology before becoming Director of the Climatic Impacts Centre and Professor of Physical Geography at the School of Earth Sciences, Macquarie University.
