He then moved to the Western Australian Department of Agriculture (c.1896-1897). Next Fuller went to South Africa where he was involved in efforts to eradicate the tsetse fly and also wrote a report on Mealie Variegation. He worked as an assistant entomologist with the Cape Colony Department of Agriculture from 1897-1899, was Government Entomologist for Natal in 1899, and Assistant Chief, Division of Entomology for the Union of South Africa from 1910-1926. After retiring from this post he worked as an entomologist in Portuguese East Africa and died in a car accident in 1928.
