<abstract>Arnold Reimann was a senior lecturer and associate professor, University of Queensland, 1939 until his retirement in 1968 at the age of 70. During World War II he was seconded to the Radiophysics Division, CSIR, to work on secret radar development projects. He wrote several textbooks after his retirement.</abstract>
<p>Born 3 July 1898. Died 1991. Educated University of Adelaide (BSc, DSc), University of Berlin (PhD). Member Senior Scientific Staff, Research Laboratories, General Electric Co. Eng. 1926-36, Leverhulme Research Fellow, Cavendish Laboratory 1936-38, Lecturer in Physics, University of Queensland in 1939-47, senior lecturer 1948-49, research professor (the equivalent to associate professor), 1950-68. Professor of Physics (UNESCO) Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, 1957-59. Seconded to Radiophysics Division, CSIR, as Temporary Senior Research Officer, 1940-44. Died December 1991.</p>
